I picked up this CD quite sometime back. Bored and lonely, I watched it today. Amu is a fabulous movie about the killing of Sikhs in ’84. It is not the usual preachy kinds. Kaju (Konkana) comes to India from USA where she has stayed most of her life. Her mother and she had migrated there when she was little. She loves exploring Delhi with its fascinating history. Her cousin’s friend Kabir befriends her. Kaju was adopted by her mother… she thought her parents had died in an epidemic. But the truth is… her parents were Sikhs who were killed in the ’84 riots. The movie is about her discovery about the truth of her parents’ death.

A very touching movie… Konkana is excellent… so is everyone else.

Worth a watch.
